The practice
Dawes Design & Drafting Group is a building design practice headquartered in Narre Warren, with offices in Scoresby and Warragul, serving Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland. Director Troy Dawes has designed for Victoria since 1996 and has been a registered building practitioner with the Victorian Building Authority since 1997; the current practice was established in 2007 as a rebranding of Troy Dawes Design, founded in 1997. The studio designs new homes, extensions and renovations, dual occupancies and multi unit developments, and works deliberately as a small practice, with Troy developing each project alongside the client from first concept to approved drawings, supported by a settled network of town planners, engineers, surveyors and thermal assessors. Accurate, detailed documentation is the house discipline, drawn so town planning and building permits move without drama, and the record now stands at 2,740 completed projects and 1,100 new homes.
