Builders and homeowners
Plans are for practices. The builders and clients on your rounds have their own pages.
Builders
Builders pay a one off fee for a spot on an open round, and can take a plan for cost estimates and cost optimisation. Builders you invite pay no spot fee.
Pricing for buildersHomeowners
Homeowners pay once per project when they submit it for a scope of works. Clients you invite to your rounds join under your plan; there is no fee for them.

How much do plans cost?
Billed annually, Lite is $53 a month, Essentials is $89 and Pro is $134, including GST. Billed monthly, Lite is $59 a month, Essentials is $99 and Pro is $149, including GST. These are introductory prices for plans started before 1 January 2027; from that date the standard prices are Lite $99, Essentials $199 and Pro $249 a month. A plan keeps the price it started on for as long as it stays active. Enterprise is priced on application.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. Annual plans are billed once a year, at 10% less than twelve monthly payments: Lite is $636, Essentials is $1,068 and Pro is $1,608 a year, including GST. Tenders and cost estimates are still counted each month. On Pro, unused ones roll over for 90 days. The plan renews each year until you cancel.
Can I try BuilderHQ before choosing a plan?
Yes. Create an account and explore the example tender and the example estimate. You choose a plan when you start your first tender or request your first cost estimate.
When does a tender count towards my plan?
When you submit a round for preparation. Each project counts once, so revising and resubmitting the same project never uses another tender.
When does a cost estimate count?
When you send the request. If we decline it, or you cancel it before we start on it, it no longer counts.
Can I change plans?
Yes. Move up a plan at any time and pay only the difference for the rest of the period you have paid for. You can also move from monthly to annual billing at any time. To move down a plan, or from annual to monthly billing, use your billing settings: the change takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed annually or monthly, in Australian dollars, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Prices include GST, which is shown on each invoice, and you can download your invoices from your billing settings.
How do I cancel?
Cancel online at any time from your billing settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, a year or a month, and is not renewed. Rounds already running keep running, and clients you invited keep their access.
What is the difference between open and private rounds?
Verified builders near the project can find an open round and take a spot, and you can still invite builders you trust. A private round is seen only by the builders you invite. Lite runs open rounds. Essentials, Pro and Enterprise run both.

An estimator on BuilderHQ’s team, working from your drawings. Each estimate sets out low, likely and high totals with a breakdown by trade or by element, and comes with a report you can share with your client. It is a preliminary estimate, not a quote.
