A homeowner pays once per project when they submit it for a scope of works. Every round on the marketplace is from a client who has paid to run it.

How much do plans cost?
Billed annually, Lite is $53 a month, Essentials is $89 and Pro is $134, including GST. Billed monthly, Lite is $59 a month, Essentials is $99 and Pro is $149, including GST.
What are the introductory prices?
Plans started before 1 January 2027 are on introductory prices: Lite $59, Essentials $99 and Pro $149 a month, including GST. Plans started from that date pay the standard prices of $99, $199 and $249 a month. A plan keeps the price it started on for as long as it stays active.
Do I still pay for project spots?
Yes. A spot on an open round is a one off fee by project type, $49 to $199 including GST, on every plan and on no plan. Rounds you are invited to carry no spot fee.
What is a cost estimate?
A preliminary estimate prepared by a person on our team from the drawings, with low, likely and high totals and a breakdown by trade. Request one for a project you have unlocked, using the client’s documents and your own, or for a project you are running off the platform by uploading the drawings. It is usually on your desk within two business days; the app shows the date before you send. It is a preliminary estimate, not a quote.
What is a cost optimisation?
A written review of how a project could reach the client’s budget: options grouped by design, specification, construction method and staging, each with a saving range and its trade off. It needs the drawings and one pricing document, which can be your tender on the platform, a BuilderHQ estimate, or a priced tender you upload.
Do unused estimates roll over?
On Pro, yes: an estimate or optimisation you do not use in the month it is issued stays available for 90 days. The oldest is used first, and anything older than that lapses. On Lite and Essentials, a month's estimates and optimisations are for that month.
What does your name and logo on reports mean?
On Essentials and Pro, every estimate and optimisation report carries your business name and logo on its letterhead, so you can hand it to your client as your own document. On Lite the report carries BuilderHQ’s.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. Move up a plan at any time and pay only the difference for the rest of the period you have paid for, or move from monthly to annual billing. To move down, change to monthly billing, or cancel, use your billing settings: the change takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed annually or monthly, in Australian dollars, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Prices include GST, which is shown on each invoice, and you can download your invoices from Plan and billing.
Can I see an example before I choose a plan?
Yes. The example estimate is open to every builder account from the Cost estimates tab, and the marketplace is open to browse on any account.
