When do I pay?
When you submit your project for its scope of works, after you have uploaded your drawings and checked the details we read from them. Nothing is charged before that, and you can take as long as you like to get there.
What do I get for the fee?
On both plans: a scope of works written from your documents and checked by a person, a round with verified builders who all price that same scope, a side by side comparison, an evaluation report and messages with the builders. Premium adds a round of up to 5 builders, your own invitations, a private round if you want one, sharing with your designer or a co-owner, and a preliminary cost estimate from our team.
How much is it?
Starter is $49 per project and Premium is $74 per project, both including GST. These are introductory fees; the standard fees of $99 and $149 apply to projects submitted from 1 January 2027.
What if you cannot prepare a scope of works from my documents?
We tell you what is missing and refund the fee in full. A scope of works needs drawings to work from; if yours are not enough, the full fee is returned to your card.
Can I move from Starter to Premium later?
Yes, any time before your round closes. You pay the difference at the fees on the day, $25 today, and the extra builders, invitations, sharing and the cost estimate open straight away.
Do builders pay too?
A builder pays a one off fee for a spot on an open round, from $49 for a renovation to $199 for multi dwelling work. Builders you invite pay no spot fee. We take no commission from either side, ever.
How many builders will price my project?
Starter runs a round of up to 3 builders. Premium runs up to 5, and on Premium you can invite your own builders as well as the verified builders who find the round.
What is the preliminary cost estimate?
An estimate prepared by a person on our team from your drawings and your scope of works, with low, likely and high totals and a breakdown by trade. It helps you read the tenders that come back. It is a preliminary estimate, not a quote.
Does anything renew?
No. The fee is paid once for one project, and it covers that project for as long as its round runs. There is nothing to cancel.
Can I see what I get before I pay?
Yes. Every account opens with an example round you can explore, including its scope of works and the comparison of its tenders, and an example cost estimate. Upload your plans whenever you are ready.
