Why we introduce them
A conveyancer is the first professional to look at a block of land, and often the only one who reads what is actually on the title. Restrictive covenants, easements and planning overlays decide whether the house a client is planning can legally be built there, and a covenant stays binding however old it is. Removing one takes a Supreme Court application or a planning scheme amendment. An owner who finds that out after settlement has bought the wrong site.
Paramount has been doing this since 2010, and works the way that problem needs: in early, alongside the builder, the broker and the agent, rather than at the end when the paperwork is already drawn. Sasha Obeid founded the firm and is a member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers, Victorian Division. Conveyancing is all they do, which is rather the point. For an owner or a developer buying land to build on, this is the call to make before the offer, not after it.

The firm
Paramount Conveyancing is a Victorian firm founded in 2010 by director Sasha Obeid, working from offices in Greenvale, Melbourne CBD and Hoppers Crossing. The team handles residential and commercial transactions: established homes, land, off the plan purchases, development sites and investment property, along with subdivisions, mortgages and refinances. They act for local and international clients, and regularly work with developers, builders, buyers agents, mortgage brokers and real estate agents. The firm does not carry out financial feasibility work. What it does is review contracts, Section 32 statements, title, planning and related documentation, flag the problems, and make sure a client understands what they are committing to.
