What is wrong with howtenders are run today.

A proper tender is unpaid work.

01

Someone has to write the scope

Without one shared list, each builder prices their own reading of the drawings.

02

Comparing submissions is unpaid work

Someone in the practice reconciles three formats before the client can be advised.

03

Your name is on the recommendation

It has to be defensible long after the round closes.

The fix

We run the round. You advise your client.

Four steps, and the practice keeps the judgement throughout.

02 / 04The scope, and who prices it

We identify the scope. You choose who prices it.

We read your documents and lay out the full scope of works, every item referenced to its page, then your client approves it. Keep the round to builders you trust, open it to the verified network, or run both at once.

Who can tender

Pick how builders come to this round.

Open

Visible on BuilderHQ. Verified builders can take a spot, and you can still invite builders you already trust.

Private

By invitation only. The round never appears in the marketplace, and one invited builder is a perfectly valid round.

How this round runs

  1. 1Your project goes live to verified builders on BuilderHQ, and any builders you invite join free.
  2. 2Builders take a spot and price from your documents.
  3. 3You compare every submission side by side.

Tender spots

How many builders can price this project.

2345

Three is the sweet spot for most projects: real competition without wasting builders’ time. Builders you invite count towards these spots.

Invited builders

These builders join free. Remaining spots open to the network.

Every submission against one scope.

Every builder prices the same scope and answers the same questions under signature. There is nothing left to reconcile, and no risk that one submission quietly excluded what another included.

Share the project

Give your client a seat at the round. A seat sees the project and the evaluation; a Deciding seat can also shortlist and award.

Not shared with anyone yet.

Your recommendationcan be defended.

Every builder is checked before they price, and every rule is set before the round opens.

01

Every builder is checked first

ABN against the Australian Business Register, licence against the state register where one connects and by our team where it does not. A builder joins an open round only once both have passed. A builder you invite joins on your say so, and their verification status is shown on the round either way.

02

Every scope item is referenced

Each line names the document, page and revision it came from. Anything we cannot trace is removed before your client sees it, and a revised pack goes to every builder at once as a numbered addendum.

03

Every score can be defended

The same six measures for every tender on the round, published in advance. Each score shows what was earned and what was not, so any line of your recommendation can be defended.

The round is yours, and the contract is your client’s.
